Proposed amendments to the LPCSU Constitution
Per Article VII of the LPCSU Constitution, the following amendments to the LPCSU constitution are offered by LPCSU Chair Seth Anthony, posted seven days before the regular business meeting of Thursday, February 9:
Item 1. A new section:
"Article III, Section 3. Voting privileges
Any member of the LPCSU in attendance at any business meeting shall be eligible to vote for officers, amendments to the constitution, bylaws or platform, candidate endorsement, financial expenditures, and any other business as may come before the membership. No individual may be denied a vote on any grounds other than non-membership."
Item 2. Strike Article III, Section 1, paragraph 3 ("Aside from the above restrictions, there shall be no provision for denying any qualified individual membership in the LPCSU or removing a person from membership.") and add
"Article III, Section 4. Removal of membership.
Any member may be removed from membership in the LPCSU, by resignation, non-attendance, or motion, under the same procedures as those outlined for officers in Article IV, Section 5, Parts A, B, or D."

"Article VI. Section 2. Qualifications for office
Any individual who is a member of the LPCSU, as defined by Article III, shall be eligible to be elected, appointed, or otherwise hold an office, committee chairmanship, or committee membership. No member shall be considered ineligible to hold any office within the LPCSU."
